The service

Free PDF Edit is provided free of charge, as is, without warranty of any kind. It runs in your browser and processes your files locally.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the documents you edit and for having the right to edit them. Do not use this tool to alter documents in order to deceive, defraud or misrepresent. Altering official documents, identification, certificates or financial records for such purposes is unlawful in most jurisdictions.

Keep your originals

Software has bugs and browsers crash. Always keep an unedited copy of any document that matters. No liability is accepted for lost work, corrupted output or any consequence of using the tool.

Verify sensitive output

If you are removing confidential information, verify the result before distributing it. Open the saved file, select all, copy and paste into a text editor to confirm nothing remains readable. The redaction guide explains the difference between covering text and removing it.

Open-source components

This tool includes PDF.js (Apache 2.0), pdf-lib (MIT) and fontkit (MIT). Their licences apply to those components.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
