Working with pages
The panel on the left shows a thumbnail of every page. Hover one and two buttons appear:
- Rotate turns the page 90° each time you press it. Press it four times and you are back where you started.
- Remove drops the page from the saved file. The thumbnail dims rather than disappearing, and pressing it again brings the page back.
Nothing is committed until you save, and every change is covered by undo, so it is safe to experiment.
Common fixes
A scan that came out sideways
Multi-page scanners often rotate alternate sheets. Rotate the affected pages individually rather than re-scanning the stack.
Blank pages between sections
Duplex scanning produces a blank for every one-sided sheet. Drop them and the document halves in length without touching the content pages.
Sending only part of a document
Remove everything you do not need and save. The pages that remain keep their original quality — they are copied across, not re-encoded, so nothing degrades.
Rotation is stored, not baked in. A rotated page keeps its original content and carries a rotation flag, which is exactly how PDF is designed to work and how every reader expects it. If you want the rotation permanently applied to the pixels, use Flatten when saving.
Editing and page work together
Page changes combine with everything else in one save. Fix the text on page 3, highlight page 5, rotate page 7, drop page 8, and it all lands in a single download.
Questions
Can I reorder pages?
Pages can be rotated and removed. The order of the remaining pages follows the original document.
Does removing a page shrink the file?
Usually yes, since the content of the removed page is not carried into the new file.
Will rotation stick when I print?
Yes. The rotation is recorded in the page itself, so readers and printers both honour it.
Can I extract a single page?
Remove every other page and save. What is left is a one-page PDF with the original quality intact.
